Why this one is different

An ROI calculator built by someone selling software is there to support a sale. This one is there to tell you whether the case stands up, before anyone asks you to sign.

It starts from what your current way of working costs, using HSE, ONS, HSA and CSO figures. It includes the subscription, the implementation and your own team's time. And if the numbers don't stand up, it tells you.

Questions people ask

Who is this for?

In-house EHS leaders in the UK and Ireland building the case for a first EHS system, or for replacing one that isn't delivering.

Where do the figures come from?

In the UK: HSE's employer cost per injury and ill-health case, HSE injury rates by industry, ONS earnings and HMRC and DWP employer costs. In Ireland: the HSA annual review (CSO data), CSO earnings and labour costs, and Department of Social Protection PRSI rates. Every line in your results is marked Sourced, Derived or Assumed, with links.

Why might these numbers be lower than a vendor's?

Because this one counts the costs as well as the savings, ramps adoption up over three years, uses cautious improvement factors, and counts only the costs your organisation bears. A smaller number that survives a finance review is worth more than a big one that doesn't.

Why doesn't it recommend a system?

Because we don't sell one. The calculator values a well-selected, well-adopted system, whichever that turns out to be. Choosing it, including whether to extend what you have or build your own, is a separate job.

What happens to the data I enter?

The calculation runs in your browser, and the figures you enter never leave it. If you ask for the report, your name, email, organisation and a one-line summary of your results go to our CRM, so we have a record of your request. We may contact you once to ask whether it was useful. We won't add you to a mailing list unless you tick the box.

Is this financial advice?

No. It's a structured first view of a business case, for orientation and for starting the right conversation with finance.

Strictly vendor-neutral

We hold no referral, reseller, or commission arrangements with any software vendor, and we receive no payment or benefit from any vendor arising from any engagement or its recommendations.
